The programme is delivered, alongside the universal Child Health Surveillance programme, by Family Nurses who also undertake the role of the Named Person for the child.

All Family Nurses are required to undertake mandatory education, some of which is residential, spanning over approximately 18 months. 6. A genuine desire to improve outcomes for children and young people.

Candidates are required to be in post by 1st September 2025 to commence the 18 month mandatory FNP education, some of which is residential.

  2. 8-12th September (residential)
  3. 5th November
  4. 3-4 December (residential)
