Job description

Job Opportunity: Dental Nurse

An opportunity has arisen for a suitably experienced and skilled dental nurse to join the Orthodontic / Oral Maxillofacial team within NHS Fife.

The ability to travel is essential, as you will be expected to work in departments within Queen Margaret Hospital, Victoria Hospital, and St Andrews Community Hospital to meet the needs of the service.

You will work within a team of Orthodontic / Oral Maxillofacial dental nurses to support the Senior Dental Nurse in managing efficient departments, providing high standards of nursing practices and quality of care, and offering full surgical and administrative support to specialised consultants and clinicians.

Effective communication, interpersonal skills, and teamworking skills are essential for this role.

An up-to-date knowledge of infection control procedures is paramount. Practical knowledge of Orthodontic and Oral Maxillofacial procedures is desirable.

You should possess the NEBDN Dental Nursing Certificate and the NEBDN Orthodontic Specialist Nurse Certificate, Sedation certificate, and/or be willing to work towards achieving these, as they are requirements of the post.
