Job summary

Hillcroft Primary School is seeking an exceptional Family Link Worker to join the Inclusion Team. You will support children and families to overcome barriers to learning, improve wellbeing and attendance, and access the right support at the right time.

Joining as a Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead, you will work with external agencies to coordinate support and ensure every child can engage fully in school life. Strong relationships and inclusive practice are essential.

Qualifications

  • Experience supporting children and families facing attendance, wellbeing, safeguarding or learning challenges.
  • Experience as a Deputy DSL or the knowledge to undertake the role successfully.
  • Builds positive, professional and trusting relationships with children, families and colleagues.
  • Experience working with external agencies and coordinating support.
  • Understands how attendance, safeguarding, inclusion and wellbeing are interconnected.
  • Passionate about removing barriers to success and improving outcomes for vulnerable children.
  • Resilient, organized and solution-focused with excellent communication skills.
  • Committed to inclusion and high expectations for every child.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and contribute to safeguarding processes and early intervention.

We are seeking an exceptional Family Link Worker to join our Inclusion Team. This is a rewarding role at the heart of our school community, supporting children and families to overcome barriers to learning, improve wellbeing and attendance, and access the right support at the right time.

Working as a Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) and key member of our Inclusion Team, you will build positive relationships with children, families, staff and external agencies to support vulnerable pupils and improve outcomes.

You will lead and contribute to safeguarding processes, provide early intervention and family support, undertake home visits, facilitate parenting programmes, coordinate multi-agency support and help ensure that every child can engage fully in school life.

The Details

Start Date: ASAP

Salary: GLF Specialist - Point 1 £28,009 to Point 9 £29,996 (dependent on experience)

Actual Salary: Point 1- 24,628.01 to Point 9 - £26,375.15 (dependent on experience)

Hours: 35 hours per week (Mon-Fri) - 41 weeks per year
