Haris Law Solicitors, a busy family law firm in Blackburn town centre, is expanding its Family Law Department and seeks committed solicitors to join the team.

This full-time role involves managing a varied caseload across private and publicly funded matters, delivering high-quality client care from instruction through to conclusion, including advocacy where appropriate. The position offers a hybrid remote setup in Blackburn BB1 7EB with a competitive salary.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year PQE in family law or equivalent experience.
• Strong knowledge of family law and related funding options.
• Excellent communication and client care skills.
• Ability to work independently and use initiative.
• Experience handling sensitive or vulnerable clients.
• Good time management and case management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Handling a caseload of family law matters.
• Advising clients on funding options and Legal Aid eligibility.
• Instructing and liaising with counsel, experts, and third parties.
• Representing clients in court and advocacy when required.
• Providing compassionate, clear advice to vulnerable clients.
• Ensuring Lexcel and SRA standards compliance.

As our firm continues to grow, we’re expanding our Family Law Department and are looking for committed and capable solicitors to join our team.

The Role

This is a full-time role involving both privately and publicly funded cases. The successful candidate will manage a varied caseload, provide high-quality client care, and handle matters from initial instruction through to conclusion, including advocacy where appropriate.

Key Responsibilities

• Handling a caseload of family law matters
• Advising clients on funding options and assessing financial eligibility (Legal Aid)
• Instructing and liaising with counsel, experts, and third parties
• Representing clients in court and conducting advocacy when required
• Delivering compassionate and clear advice to often vulnerable clients
• Ensuring compliance with Lexcel and SRA standards

What We’re Looking For

• Minimum 1 year PQE
• Strong knowledge of family law
• Excellent communication and client care skills
• Comfortable working independently and using initiative
• Experience working with sensitive or vulnerable clients
• Strong time management and case management skills
