Job summary

Cheshire West and Chester Council is seeking a Family Intervention Worker for the Intervention Hub. The role delivers intensive, direct work with children and families using a whole-family approach, within a trauma-informed, multi-agency setting.

You will build trusted relationships, identify family strengths, and collaborate to overcome barriers, delivering targeted support and SMART-planned interventions in homes and community venues across Cheshire West and Chester.

Responsibilities

• Deliver intensive, direct work with children and families using a whole-family approach.
• Build trusting relationships with children, young people and parents.
• Identify family strengths and work alongside families to overcome barriers.
• Deliver targeted support and help families make sustainable changes.
• Coordinate support and work alongside partner agencies.
• Plan interventions using SMART processes and carry out regular reviews.
• Work in a trauma-informed way.
