Job summary

Luton Council is seeking a Family Help Team Manager to lead a multidisciplinary team delivering early-help and child-in-need services aimed at keeping children safe in their homes and communities. You will coordinate social workers, psychologists, CAMHS clinicians, housing officers, youth workers and others to wrap support around families at the right time.

The role requires a social work qualification and registration with Social Work England, with substantial experience in children's social

Qualifications

• Social work qualification and registration with Social Work England.
• DipSW or CQSW or equivalent credential.

Responsibilities

• Inspire and lead a diverse team of specialists, embedding a culture of high support and high challenge.
• Held strategic oversight of early-help and child-in-need cases with safeguarding judgements.
• Drive practice quality with evidence-based interventions, supervision, and QA tracking.
• Forge partnerships with schools, health, police, and voluntary sectors for seamless service.
• Manage resources, budgets and deploy staff and commissioned services for impact.
• Coach and develop practitioners to sustain high standards across the service.
