Job summary

Walsall Council is seeking a dedicated Family Help Support Worker to join Children’s Social Care on a fixed-term basis until March 2028. This role provides practical and emotional support to children, young people and families, helping them identify strengths and develop realistic, family-led plans of support.

You will work with education, health, police and voluntary services to deliver coordinated help, act as Lead Professional where appropriate, and help families access universal, targeted

Responsibilities

• Deliver outcome-focused support to children and families.

• Maintain confidential records of interventions and casework.
• Support parents to build parenting capacity and access services.
