Job summary

Chadwick Nott is seeking a Family Solicitor or Legal Executive with 2+ PQE to join a busy family law team in North Devon.

You will manage your own caseload across financial remedy, private children matters and contested proceedings, draft court documents, brief counsel, and advocate when appropriate, providing high-quality client care and progressing files from instruction to conclusion.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' PQE in family law.
• Ability to manage own caseload across a broad range of family law matters.
• Strong technical family law knowledge and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Advise clients, draft court documents and orders, briefing counsel and preparing cases for hearings.

Family Solicitor / Legal Executive (2+ PQE)

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Family Solicitor or Legal Executive to join a busy and well-established family law team.

This role is suited to a lawyer with a minimum of 2 years' PQE who is confident managing their own caseload across a broad range of family law matters.

You will handle a varied caseload including financial remedy matters, private children law disputes and contested proceedings. The successful candidate will be capable of progressing matters independently while maintaining a high standard of client care and achieving positive outcomes for clients.

The role will involve advising clients, drafting court documents and orders, briefing counsel, preparing cases for hearings and conducting advocacy where appropriate. You will be expected to manage files efficiently from instruction through to conclusion and build strong relationships with clients and professional contacts.

Candidates should have strong technical family law knowledge, excellent communication skills and the ability to deal sensitively with clients during often challenging circumstances. Experience handling children matters, financial disputes and contested proceedings is essential.
