Job description

Leading the safe, enthusiastic, and healthy delivery of our DL Clubs children’s activity programme and providing members with an excellent experience every day.

What will I be doing?

  1. Leading member-obsessed service and engagement at all times.
  2. Guiding my team to deliver children’s activities with structure and enthusiasm, encouraging maximum participation.
  3. Overseeing the delivery of the children’s activity programmes, including Core Club Programme, Holiday Active Programmes, and children’s parties.
  4. Ensuring programmes align with Product Briefs, Lesson Plans, and Brand Standards.
  5. Maintaining all services to children in compliance with the Children’s Safety Guide.
  6. Creating a safe and healthy environment for children, staff, and members, prioritizing children's needs as per the Guide.
  7. Maximizing member experience, participation, and value through coaching expertise, session quality, communication, and facilities standards.
  8. Engaging with members about their activities and seeking ways to enhance their experience.
  9. Utilizing communication channels like surveys, comment cards, forums, and mystery visits to improve service.
  10. Resolving member queries and complaints effectively.
  11. Recruiting, inducting, training, managing, and reviewing staff to develop a high-performance team, and building strong relationships within the team.
  12. Sharing knowledge and expertise with team members.

How will I be measured?

  • Delivery of excellent service and engagement with members by myself and my team.
  • Compliance of children’s areas with Health and Safety requirements and the Children’s Safety Guide.
  • Speed and efficiency in responding to incidents, issues, or complaints.
  • Feedback from members, team members, and mystery visitors about the programme and team.
  • Performance against our 6 Values.
  • Adherence to DL Clubs operational standards.
  • Compliance with legislative and company audits.
  • Achievement of revenue targets for Holiday Active and Parties.
  • Member participation targets for children’s programmes.
  • Cost management and achievement of budget margins.
  • Providing new child members with Family Welcome, All Stars taster sessions, and introductions to Junior Tennis Pro and Swimming Co-ordinator.
  • Contribution to club membership growth, especially families with children.
  • Regular visits from Regional Manager and other support staff.

What qualifications, skills, and experience do I need?

  • Qualification in teaching, childcare, or sports coaching (Essential).
  • Experience managing and leading a team (Essential).
  • Experience in financial planning and management.
  • Inspirational leadership skills.
  • Ability to lead and manage children confidently and energetically (Essential).
  • Excellence in customer service.
  • Strong listening and collaborative skills.
  • Team player attitude.
