Trafford Leisure is seeking a Postural Stability Instructor to support falls prevention services by delivering structured strength and balance programmes for older adults across Trafford, including Altrincham, Sale, Urmston and Partington.

The role is initially casual with flexible hours and may develop into regular weekly delivery as the service grows. A Level 4 PSI qualification and CPR are required.

Qualifications

• Must hold a recognised Level 4 PSI qualification.
• Valid CPR certification.
• Experience delivering falls prevention or strength and balance programmes.
• Knowledge of falls prevention principles.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to motivate and engage people with a range of abilities and health conditions.
• Good organisational and IT skills.
• Patient, empathetic and person-centred approach.
• Commitment to safe, inclusive and high-quality service delivery.

Responsabilités

• Deliver safe, effective and engaging strength and balance sessions.
• Adapt exercises to individual needs and abilities.
• Monitor attendance, progress and outcomes.
• Maintain accurate participant records and assessment information.
• Support participants to improve confidence, mobility and independence.
• Encourage continued participation in physical activity through signposting and onward referral.
• Develop positive relationships with participants, health professionals and community partners.
• Follow safeguarding, health and safety, confidentiality and service procedures.
• Contribute to ongoing monitoring and development of the service.
