Heightsafe, a UK specialist in Work at Height, is seeking a Fall Protection Test and Inspection Supervisor to join its Compliance operation. This hands-on role covers inspection, testing and remedial work across client sites in the South and wider UK.

You will inspect fall arrest and restraint systems, ladders, platforms and rails, follow RAMS and BS standards, and keep accurate records. Travel and regular overnight stays are a key part of the position.

Qualifications

• Previous hands on experience specifically within fall protection or height safety.
• Strong experience inspecting and testing fall arrest and height safety equipment.
• Practical experience installing and testing fixings, including torque setting.
• A good understanding of current Work at Height regulations.
• Confidence identifying faults and carrying out appropriate remedial work.
• Strong attention to detail and a practical problem solving approach.
• Good communication skills and confidence dealing directly with clients.
• The ability to work safely and confidently at height.
• Flexibility for UK travel and regular overnight stays.
• A full clean UK driving licence.

Job description

A Fall ProtectionTest and Inspection Supervisor is needed to join Heightsafe, an established UK specialist in Work at Height, Fall Protection and Façade Access. This is a hands on compliance role for an experienced fall protection professional with strong inspection and testing knowledge who can take responsibility for work across client sites in the South and wider UK.

Heightsafe delivers specialist Work at Height solutions nationwide, supporting major organisations with installation, testing, inspection, maintenance and training. This position sits within its Compliance operation, with a particular focus on ensuring existing height safety and access systems remain safe, compliant and fit for purpose.

As Test and Inspection Supervisor, you'll work across permanent access and fall protection equipment including fall restraint and arrest systems, access ladders, gantries, platforms, handrails, walkways, abseil anchors and rails. You'll inspect and test systems, identify compliance issues and complete remedial work where required, working across both major construction sites and live buildings.

You'll need to be confident working independently on site, dealing directly with clients and making sound practical decisions when problems arise. You'll follow RAMS, applicable British Standards and manufacturer guidance while maintaining accurate records and consistently high safety standards. Travel and regular overnight stays are an important part of the position.

To qualify: You should be a Test and Inspection Engineer, Fall Protection Inspector, Height Safety Engineer, Fall Arrest Engineer or similar with a CV that demonstrates...

CSCS, Sentinel, PASMA, IRATA, IOSH, Rescue Training or IPAF qualifications would be advantageous.

In return, you'll receive £40,000 to £45,000, 25 days' holiday plus bank holidays and paid overtime. A standard day allows for eight hours on site plus one hour travelling to and from site, with additional time qualifying for overtime. Although based in the South, you'll also attend Heightsafe's Liverpool office for training, social events and occasional business requirements.
