Job summary

Fallprotec UK Ltd seeks a Fall protection / Façade Access Designer and Draftsman based in Market Harborough. You will design components, optimise concepts, and create 2D and 3D drawings in collaboration with the UK sales team.

The role requires a degree in Mechanical/Industrial design or drafting, and experience in industrial or construction contexts, with preference for fall protection exposure. Hybrid office presence 2–3 days per week in Market Harborough.

• Design components according to the technical requirements and specifications.

• Involved within project management process as project designer (possible evolution to PM).
• Contribute to improving systems and communication with partners and processes.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Within the global Engineering department but based in Market Harborough, Leicestershire in collaboration with UK sales and clients your task is to:

• Design components according to the technical requirements and specifications.
• Optimise the concepts and designs with analytical and mechanical assessments.
• Collaborate with engineering team to achieve integrated and optimised solutions.
• Create conceptual and manufacturing shop drawings (2D and 3D).
• Involved within project management process as project designer (possibility to evolve as a project manager)
• Contribute in improving systems and communication with partners, the processes or any other activity within the company.

ESSENTIAL REQUIEREMENTS

• Education: Degree in Mechanical/ Industrial designing/drafting
• Experience: Industrial and Construction related, preference having worked in the fall protection industry

EXPERIENCES/SKILLS

• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, verbal and written communication skills.
• Design experience (2D and 3D). Mandatory INVENTOR - AUTOCAD
• Good understanding of technical requirements to translate them into drawings
• Sense of responsibility and urgency - Showing initiative, being proactive
• Good analytical and problem-solving capability.
• Must be detail focused.
• Able to work under pressure and in autonomy
• Teamwork
• English: Able to communicate within a technical environment.
• Any other language would be an advantage.
