Job summary

Oldham College in Greater Manchester is seeking a committed Head of Faculty Sport, UPS, Finance & Professional to drive the delivery of college services and priorities. The postholder will receive a £4,000 annual responsibility allowance in addition to the base salary.

You will provide leadership across the faculty, develop curriculum, strengthen industry links, and ensure the curriculum meets learners and employers' needs while upholding safeguarding and equality commitments.

Qualifications

• Good understanding of learner and customer needs and a successful track record of developing key strategies to deliver a high-quality service in all or some of the specialist areas of this post.
• Experience of successfully managing changes to curriculum design and delivery.
• Significant experience of raising recruitment and success rates within curriculum areas.
• Good understanding of current Government and national priorities for the FE sector and how this should be applied to the development of the Faculty.
• The ability to inspire, enthuse and motivate staff, employers and learners in the workplace.

Responsibilities

• Work with the Director to achieve the vision and strategic priorities of Oldham College
• Provide effective and efficient leadership, management and co-ordination of the Faculty’s staff and resources across all funding streams
• Enhance the operational efficiency and foster the growth of relevant commercial links with industry, while delivering an outstanding service to the Oldham community
• Ensure that the Faculty’s curriculum offer meets the needs of learners, employers and the local community
• Develop and implement innovative teaching, learning and assessment methodologies and subject-specific pedagogies based on best practice from evidence-based research
• Carry out duties in line with College policies and procedures, including safeguarding and equality commitments
