Job summary

BBF Limited in Blackburn is seeking a dynamic Factory Technical Manager to lead and develop our technical team, ensuring the highest standards across finished products, audits and retailer codes.

You will coach QAs, Production, Engineering, Hygiene and Warehouse, drive continuous improvements, manage pest control, deputise for the Technical Manager during audits, and spend time on site across Blackburn and Shadsworth.

Qualifications

• Experience leading teams in a factory or production environment.
• Ability to coach and develop multiple departments to meet technical standards.
• Experience supporting audits and compliance activities.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance and consistency of finished products.
• Maintain audit readiness at all times.
• Define and implement “what good looks like” standards across all areas.
• Coach QAs, Production, Engineering, Hygiene, and Warehouse teams on expected standards.
• Identify and drive changes to factory practices that reduce non-conformances.
• Deputise for the Technical Manager during factory walkarounds in audits.
• Collect and manage M&S and Tesco code approval samples.
• Oversee pest control processes across the factory.
• Spend 100% of time in the factory across Blackburn and Shadsworth sites.
• Work flexibly across all shifts to ensure coverage and adherence to standards.
