Job summary

Dreams Ltd in Albion, West Midlands, is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to join our factory Maintenance team. You will maintain, repair and improve factory equipment, plant machinery and site facilities, with a hands-on approach across varied tasks to keep production running smoothly.

The role requires practical maintenance experience in a factory or engineering environment, and the ability to diagnose faults and perform repairs with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• Hands-on maintenance experience in factory/production environment.
• Able to diagnose faults and perform repairs with minimal supervision.
• Basic electrical fault-finding knowledge desirable.
• Experience with conveyors and plant machinery preferred.

Responsibilities

• Carry out general maintenance, repairs and improvements across the factory and wider site.
• Support the maintenance of static plant machinery, including conveyors, hydraulic presses and other production equipment.
• Respond to breakdowns and help reduce production downtime.
• Complete planned preventative maintenance tasks.
• Diagnose basic mechanical, electrical and equipment faults.
• Assist with installations, adjustments and minor modifications to equipment or work areas.
• Carry out practical repair work, which may include basic fabrication, welding, soldering or general workshop tasks.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activity and report recurring issues.
• Work safely and support a clean, efficient and well-maintained factory environment.
