Job summary

Yondr Group is seeking an experienced Facility Shift Manager to monitor all engineering assets at a data center, ensuring compliance with regulations and site policies. You will liaise with service providers and contractors to deliver works safely, on schedule, and to high standards.

The role is shift-based and requires strong leadership and incident-management skills. The successful candidate will oversee maintenance tasks, drive improvements, and ensure adherence to ISO and safety protocols

Qualifications

• Multi-Skilled - Mechanical / Electrical, Knowledge of UPS / Generators / Power Distribution
• HV switching experience and have a current HV training certificate
• Preferred – 17th edition qualified
• Be qualified as an electrical or mechanical engineer to the current standards
• Have good communication skills verbally and written
• Be a team player and understand the commitment to process required within a critical environment
• Good Leadership & Management skill

Responsibilities

• Escalate and communicate incidents to nominated persons
• Monitor all systems to ensure timely attendance by 24/7 team
• Assist in Root cause analysis of incidents
• Assist in planning requirements relating to Projects and Planned maintenance
• Plan works within shift/work flows, PPM, Incident reporting and attendance
• Oversee planned and unplanned activities
• Provide reports at end of every shift
• Support the Critical Service Manager with feedback and improvements
• Assist with technical improvement and onsite delivery discussions
• Maintain strong safety mindset; follow PTW, isolation systems & RAMS
• Perform audits on systems including ISO standards
• Ensure shift engineers undertake tasks with H&S awareness
• Complete all required training

The Role

To monitor all engineering assets at the data center by following regulations and guidelines set out in Yondr’s maintain and operate model. To monitor Service provider and contractor works and operations by liaising with all parties, to ensure any proposed works are delivered in compliance with statutory regulation and in line with the site policy including client rules, processes and procedures. The role is a shift pattern based 24/7, and you are expected to provide cover for peers as and when required .

Main Responsibilities

• Escalate and communicate appropriately incidents to nominated persons in theprocedure

• Assist the service provider and contractors in Root cause Analysis ofincidents
• Assist the service provider with planning requirements relating to Projects and Plannedmaintenance
• Assist in the Planning of works which fall under the remit of shift work flows , PPM, Incident reporting, Incident Management and attendance
• Oversight of any planned and unplanned activities
• To proactively work towards and meet the performance objectives of the service deliveryfor theclient
• Report on health and safety aspects particular to shiftduties
• The recording of all maintenance tasks performed complete and incomplete including any necessary reports in reference to repairs and preventativeschedules
• Provide reports at the end of everyshift
• Support the Critical service Manager with feedback and suggestions forimprovement
• Assist with Technical improvement and discussions around all aspects of delivery onsite
• Strong Safety Mindset, with attention to detail (HSE) - PTW, Isolation systems & RAMS
• Ability to perform audits on multiple systems, ISO 9000, 14000, 27000 and 55000
• To ensure the shift engineers are undertaking work tasks as directed and with suitable H&S awareness/implementation
• Complete all requiredtraining
