Role Overview: QSHE & Facilities Officer

This role supports the management team by ensuring compliance with governance standards and maintaining adherence to:

• Legal compliance
• Company health & safety policies, processes, and standards
• Industry accreditations (e.g., ISO, BRC)
• Food safety standards, if applicable
• Health & safety training requirements, including delivering training as needed
• Contractor control processes

Facilities Responsibilities

• Manage external security, catering, and cleaning contractors, ensuring all legal and safety requirements are met
• Support and manage the MHE fleet and central facilities
• Assist with pre-planned maintenance schedules
• Manage all site waste streams
• Maintain and update the 'know your building' folder and ensure staff are trained
• Understand in-country health & safety legislative requirements
• Work with teams to meet targets and goals
• Conduct and facilitate compliance and procedural audits (internal and external)
• Understand key principles of facilities management, including legislative compliance and maintenance programs
• Coordinate with multiple departments and third-party contractors
• Utilize Microsoft Office packages effectively
• Demonstrate outstanding organizational skills

Experience and Skills Required

• Strong knowledge of safety and legal commitments
• Experience maintaining accreditation standards (ISO, BRC)
• Ability to track KPIs and update site management
• Commitment to continuous personal development
• Experience managing contractor performance and preventive maintenance activities
• Familiarity with legislation related to property infrastructure maintenance
• Ability to conduct audits and health checks, identify risks, and collaborate on solutions
