Job summary

AWE plc in the United Kingdom is seeking a Facilities Management Specialist to deliver FM services across a portfolio of operational facilities. You will be a primary contact for facility users and work to resolve issues and improve customer experience.

You will monitor compliance, manage facility risks, coordinate maintenance and inspections, and ensure safety, security and environmental standards are met.

Qualifications

  • Experience in facilities management, estates management, or property operations.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience working with customers and stakeholders in a service delivery environment.
  • Ability to analyse information and identify practical solutions to operational issues.
  • Strong communication and relationship management skills.
  • Good understanding of health, safety and compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital management systems.

Who are we looking for? We do need you to demonstrate experience in the following: Experience within facilities management, estates management, property operations or a related discipline. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Experience working with customers and stakeholders in a service delivery environment. Ability to analyse information and identify practical solutions to operational issues. Strong communication and relationship management skills. Good understanding of health, safety and compliance requirements. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital management systems.

We'd like you to have experience in or an understanding of some of the following: NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent. IWFM membership or working towards professional accreditation. Experience working in a regulated, infrastructure, defence, nuclear or industrial environment. Experience managing contractors or service providers. Understanding of asset management, work control or compliance management processes. You'll need to have the ability to work calmly and constructively in a priority changing environment and be able to manage your own workload. You will also have initiative, enthusiasm, a flexible approach, and ability to work to tight deadlines.

Important things you need to know:
You will need to obtain and maintain the necessary security clearance for the role. This will be funded by AWE. The nature of our work does mean you need to be a British Citizen who has been resident in the UK for the past 5 years in order to apply for SC clearance and 10 years for DV.
