Job summary

The Catch22 Facilities Assistant position in Leeds is a part-time, hands-on role focused on maintaining the school site’s buildings and grounds. You will take ownership of safety, compliance and day-to-day upkeep, with a clear path to permanent appointment for the right candidate.

This role requires experience in facilities or caretaking, a strong understanding of Health & Safety, and the ability to work independently while coordinating with contractors and school staff.

Qualifications

• Experience in facilities, maintenance, caretaking, or a skilled trade (e.g. plumbing, electrical, joinery, construction).
• Strong knowledge of Health & Safety and general site compliance.

Responsibilities

• Carry out general repairs and day-to-day maintenance across the school site.
• Identify issues, arrange repairs and complete small works.
• Manage building systems including alarms, CCTV and fire safety equipment.
