Job summary

South Thames College in London is seeking a practical and reliable Facilities Officer to keep Wandsworth College well maintained and welcoming for students, staff and visitors. You will be part of a supportive team responsible for portering, day-to-day maintenance and repairs including basic plumbing, carpentry and decorating, and you will record and track jobs through our helpdesk system.

You should have experience in a range of practical maintenance tasks, and an understanding of working

Qualifications

• Experience in carrying out a range of practical maintenance tasks.
• Understanding the importance of working safely in a facilities environment.
• Ability to manage own workload and work well with others.

Responsibilities

• Portering, day-to-day maintenance and repairs including basic plumbing, carpentry and decorating.
• Record and track jobs through the helpdesk system.
• Support visiting contractors and conduct regular building checks.
• Ensure the site runs smoothly and is welcoming for students, staff and visitors.
