Job summary

South Thames Colleges Group in London is seeking a practical and reliable Facilities Officer to help keep our Wandsworth College site well maintained and welcoming for students, staff and visitors.

You will carry out portering, day-to-day maintenance and simple repairs such as basic plumbing, carpentry and decorating, and you will support visiting contractors while recording and tracking jobs through our helpdesk system.

Qualifications

• Experience in carrying out a range of practical maintenance tasks.
• Understanding the importance of working safely in a facilities environment.
• Organised, proactive and able to manage your own workload.

Responsibilities

• Portering, day-to-day maintenance and repairs including basic plumbing, carpentry and decorating.
• Record and track jobs through the helpdesk system.
• Support visiting contractors and conduct regular building checks to spot and report issues.
