Job summary
Veolia in Portsmouth is looking for a maintenance technician to carry out scheduled and reactive maintenance tasks at the Airbus Anchorage Road site. You will perform repairs, inspections, and testing to keep facilities safe, clean, and operational.
The role offers up to £32,000 per year, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with the chance to access Veolia benefits, pension, health support, and ongoing training as you contribute to our environmental mission.
Qualifications
- Ability to pass DBS check.
- Experience using hand/power tools to perform simple repairs and maintenance.
- Experience identifying issues and resolving them with maintenance team.
- Dexterity, coordination, and physical fitness.
- Strong communication, teamwork, time management and attention to detail.
- Comfort with basic software and documentation.
Responsibilities
- Repairs & Maintenance: Carry out scheduled and reactive general maintenance tasks.
- Preventative Checks: conduct routine inspections, meter readings and servicing.
- Portable Appliance testing.
- Fire Alarm & Emergency light testing.
- Responding to service desk requests in line with site KPIs.
- Completing reasonable requests to support site operations.
- Compliance: follow health & safety regulations and maintain standards.
- Site Support: assist in supervising contractors on site.
