Job summary

NRL Ltd is seeking a hands-on Facilities Technician to support daily operations of a busy site in the United Kingdom. This six-month contract offers a potential permanent role for the right candidate.

You will perform repairs, fault finding and routine maintenance on HVAC, boilers, chillers and other building systems, while keeping safety and compliance at the forefront of all activities. On-site with occasional flexibility for urgent needs.

Qualifications

• Proven hands-on facilities maintenance or building services experience.
• Knowledge of FM plant such as HVAC, boilers, chillers and air conditioning.
• Ability to diagnose and repair minor faults across mechanical, electrical or building fabric systems.
• Experience coordinating with a service desk or maintenance ticketing system.
• Awareness of health and safety requirements within a facilities environment.
• Experience working in an industrial, commercial or technical facility.
• Basic IT literacy for logging and closing maintenance tasks.
• Professional engineering membership (e.g. IMechE, IET).
• IOSH or NEBOSH qualification.
• Experience supporting refurbishment or project works.

Responsibilities

• Carry out daily repairs and planned maintenance on building systems and equipment
• Perform fault finding and diagnostics across facilities infrastructure
• Support and respond to service desk facility requests in a timely manner
• Work on and maintain FM plant including HVAC systems, boilers, air conditioning and chillers
• Undertake small maintenance and repair tasks across the site (plumbing, fabric, basic electrical, etc.)
• Monitor system performance and elevate issues where specialised support is required
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and site procedures at all times
