Job summary

BGIS UK & Europe is seeking a Building Services Engineer - HVAC Technician to manage and maintain critical M&E systems at RAF Lakenheath. The role covers PPM, reactive and breakdown works, fault finding on air conditioning, UPS, generators and LV systems, and coordination with subcontractors.

The engineer will ensure permits to work are followed, liaise with site management, and maintain accurate records using the CMMS. A proactive approach to safety and KPI adherence is required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Air conditioning, UPS, Generators and LV systems and fault-finding using alarm data.
• Experience carrying out PM tasks and reactive/breakdown works on M&E systems.
• Ability to work with contractors and use Permit to Work procedures.

Responsibilities

• Ensure routine PPM is carried out on mechanical & electrical plant per site schedules and assets.
• Complete reactive tasks and identify improvements; coordinate with subcontractors and site admin.
• Administer subcontractor work approvals and safe operation during service on site.
