Job summary

Warner Bros. Discovery is seeking a hands-on Facilities Assistant to join the Soho Square operation. You will handle preventative maintenance, reactive repairs, office moves, safety initiatives, and site improvement projects.

The role requires a practical, proactive approach and comfort with heavy lifting. You'll provide 1st line facilities support to staff and clients, coordinate with cleaners, engineers and contractors, and perform regular Health and Safety checks.

Qualifications

• Good general carpentry, metal work, and plumbing skills.
• Demonstrable experience in facility maintenance roles.
• Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills with the ability to create an immediate rapport with clients and staff.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the facility is clean and in proper working order at all times.
• Provide 1st line support to all staff and clients for any facility maintenance issues.
• Liaise with and coordinate 3rd party contractors where necessary, including cleaners, air conditioning, plumbing, electrical and pest control.
• Liaise with operational and scheduling staff to ensure the seamless delivery of services.
• Manage inventory of furniture and the moving and installation of furniture as needed.
• Carry out regular facility checks related to Health and Safety and maintain records for audit purposes.
• Conduct risk assessments and safety inductions with full record-keeping for audit purposes.
• Perform ad hoc decorating, carpentry or installation work as required.
• Be part of the Fire Wardens team to assist in ensuring on-site safety.
• Occasional out of hours work including evenings and weekends may be required.
