Job summary

The City of Edinburgh Council is seeking a Facilities Technician to deliver a vital janitorial service and support our facilities management across the estate. This role covers day-to-day FM and DIY tasks, ensuring properties are safe places to work or learn in.

Hours are 36 per week, 52 weeks, with a salary of £27,257 - £29,850. The post offers above-market rates, secure permanent employment, and a strong pension scheme. PVG and background checks are required where applicable.

Qualifications

• Day-to-day FM, janitorial and DIY operations across buildings.
• Maintenance of equipment and fittings.
• Security of premises and grounds.
• Grounds maintenance and cleaning duties.

Responsibilities

• Undertake day-to-day FM and janitorial tasks across one or more buildings.
• Carry out small repairs and general maintenance as needed.
• Support moves and basic security functions.
