Job summary

OCS is seeking a time-served Carpenter with a maintenance background to join our team in the UK. The role covers a range of carpentry and fabric tasks, with duties including painting, door hanging, tiling, glazing and masonry repairs.

You will work Mon-Fri, 7am to 3:30pm, on a temporary contract and support site safety and quality standards. Candidates should have CSCS or equivalent, L8 ACOP, Legionella awareness, and a solid track record in safety documentation and on-site procedures.

Qualifications

• Time served Carpenter with a maintenance background.
• Experience in Carpentry and general fabric including Painting/Decorating, Door Hanging, Carpet/Lino repairs, Glazing Repairs, Masonry Repairs, Locksmithing, Tiling, ceiling grids/tiles.
• CSCS Skills card or equivalent qualification.
• Sound knowledge of developing safety documentation to ensure site safety procedures are followed.
• Legionella Awareness.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all reactive works orders and PPMs are completed within contract SLAs & KPIs.
• Contribute to overall efficiency, effectiveness and contract profitability.
• Support site supervisor with delivery of all contracted services, ensuring works are safe, on time, within budget and to required quality.

About The Role:

Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday 7am - 3.30pm

Note: This role is a temporary position.

Key Responsibilities:

• To ensure all delegated Reactive Works orders and PPMs are completed within the contract defined time SLAs & KPI’s.
• The successful candidate must provide a significant contribution to overall efficiency, effectiveness and contract profitability and must, therefore, play its part in the overall delivery of service.
• The candidate will support the site supervisor with the implementation of an integrated approach for the delivery of all contracted services ensuring that all works are delivered safely on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.

Key Hiring Criteria

• Time served Carpenter with a maintenance background.
• Experienced skills in Carpentry and general fabric to include Painting Decorating, Door Hanging, Carpet/Lino repairs, Glazing Repairs, Masonry Repairs, Locksmiths, Tiling, ceiling grids/tiles.
