Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland is seeking a time-served carpenter for a temporary maintenance role in the UK. Shift: Monday to Friday 7am to 3:30pm.

You will complete reactive works and planned maintenance, support the site supervisor, ensuring safety, quality and on-time delivery while managing costs. The role requires CSCS and ACOP awareness with a strong safety focus.

Qualifications

• Time served carpenter with maintenance background
• Proficient in carpentry and general fabric tasks (Painting/Decorating, door hanging, flooring, glazing, masonry, tiling, ceilings)
• L8 ACOP and safety documentation knowledge
• Legionella awareness and CSCS card or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Complete Reactive Works orders and PPMs within contract SLAs & KPIs
• Contribute to site efficiency, contract profitability and overall service delivery
• Support site supervisor with integrated delivery of contracted services, ensuring safety, on time, within budget, and to required quality standards

About The Role:

Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday 7am - 3.30pm

Note: This role is a temporary position.

Key Responsibilities:

• To ensure all delegated Reactive Works orders and PPMs are completed within the contract defined time SLAs & KPI’s.
• The successful candidate must provide a significant contribution to overall efficiency, effectiveness and contract profitability and must, therefore, play its part in the overall delivery of service.
• The candidate will support the site supervisor with the implementation of an integrated approach for the delivery of all contracted services ensuring that all works are delivered safely on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.

Key Hiring Criteria

• Time served Carpenter with a maintenance background.
• Experienced skills in Carpentry and general fabric to include Painting Decorating, Door Hanging, Carpet/Lino repairs, Glazing Repairs, Masonry Repairs, Locksmiths, Tiling, ceiling grids/tiles.
• L8 ACOP.
• Sound knowledge of understanding and developing safety documentation to ensure OCS/site safety procedures are always followed.
• Legionella Awareness.
• CSCS Skills card or equivalent qualification.
