Proactive Personnel Ltd is seeking a Facilities Technician with a plumbing and mechanical background for a client based in Telford. You will provide hands-on maintenance across multiple sites, ensuring safe, compliant operations and high standards of service.

The role requires independence, a proactive approach and the ability to respond quickly to maintenance issues. Key duties include carrying out plumbing/mechanical repairs, PPM, statutory inspections and supporting installation projects

Competenze

• Apprentice-trained or Level 3 in Plumbing/Mechanical Building Services.
• Minimum 2 years' facilities maintenance experience.
• IOSH Working Safely qualification.

• Provide a high standard of general facilities maintenance across multiple sites.
• Carry out plumbing and mechanical repairs, installations and modifications to building services.
• Maintain and repair building fabric and infrastructure.
• Maintain, inspect and repair fire protection systems, including sprinklers.

Proactive Personnel are recruiting for a Facilities Technician with a plumbing and mechanical background on behalf of our client based in Telford.

The successful candidate will provide technical and hands-on maintenance support across our facilities in Telford, ensuring that all building infrastructure, services and equipment are maintained to a high standard.

Hours 8.30am - 5pm

You will play an important role in ensuring a safe, compliant and well-maintained working environment, responding to maintenance requests, carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and supporting installation and improvement projects.

This is a varied, hands-on role requiring someone who can work independently, demonstrate a proactive approach and respond effectively to maintenance issues to minimise disruption to the business.

Key Responsibilities

Qualifications and Experience

• Ideally apprentice-trained or qualified to Level 3 (or equivalent) in Plumbing, Mechanical Engineering or a relevant Building Services discipline.
• A recognised plumbing qualification is essential.
• IOSH Working Safely qualification.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience within a facilities maintenance or operations environment.
• Good knowledge of building services, plumbing and mechanical systems.
• Understanding of statutory compliance requirements and health and safety legislation.

• Ability to work independently and use initiative with minimal supervision.

Additional Requirements

• Full UK driving licence is essential.
• Must have access to own transport to travel between multiple sites across Telford.
• Flexibility and availability to meet the operational requirements of the role.
