Job summary

NHS Scotland is seeking a Facilities Supervisor to oversee the facilities team across Skye Hospitals and local health centres. The role includes supervision of catering and domestic services, ensuring infection control standards, and maintaining NHS cleaning specifications.

A driving licence is essential for travel to sites within the area. The post involves a 36-hour week on a 7-day rota with early hours; weekend work may be required to cover staff absence and leave.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising facilities, catering and domestic services.
• Ability to cover multiple NHS sites within Skye.
• Knowledge of infection control and NHS cleaning standards.
• Valid driving licence and willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Supervise all services provided by the facilities team.
• Ensure high standards of cleanliness and infection control in line with policies.
• Support management of policies, procedures and staff training.
• Manage 7-day rota and weekends; cover staff absence or annual leave as needed.
• Cover NHS sites in local geographical area; travel with fleet vehicle.
