Job summary

Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust is seeking an experienced Cleaning Supervisor to lead the Hollinswood House cleanliness team and ensure high standards of cleanliness across the Hospital.

Core hours vary 7:00am–20:00pm across Mon-Sat with duties including staff planning, training support, and coordination of HPV/UV decontamination during outbreaks; relocation of services to Royal Shrewsbury Hospital in 2028 is planned.

• Assist recruitment, training and conduct performance reviews.

• Communicate with staff, patients and visitors and maintain incident/ equipment records.
• Cover Dual Role and work across Hollinswood House with 7:00am-20:00pm shifts Mon-Sat.

We are seeking to recruit an experienced, motivated, dynamic Supervisor to lead our cleanliness team at Hollinswood House, Telford.

Core hours will vary between 7:00am-20:00pm working over the days of Mon-Sat

Main duties of the job

The role involves making sure that Hollinswood House and the Hospital is clean and safe every day, following national cleaning standards.
It includes organising staff, planning daily work, and checking that cleaning tasks are done properly.
The post holder will help manage staff by supporting recruitment, training, and performance reviews.
They will also coordinate specialist cleaning, such as HPV and UV decontamination, especially during outbreaks.
The job requires regular communication with staff, patients, and visitors, and keeping accurate records of incidents, equipment, and supplies.
The post holder will work across the whole of Hollinswood House and will need to cover the Dual Role position on a rolling rota.

Our Service will relocate to The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital in 2028 as part of HTP. This move will bring specialist services together in a modern, purpose-built facility to improve patient care and team experience.

We are actively recruiting, and successful candidates will be expected to move with the Service in early 2028. The relocation will follow a formal management of change process, including full consultation and support for staff.
