Facilities Supervisor

Are you someone working as a supervisor looking to step into a Facilities Supervisor role? Join our friendly and supportive Facilities team as a Facilities Supervisor based at Yeatman Hospital in Sherborne.

As theFacilitiesSupervisor you will beknowledgeable in cleaning processes and have an awareness and understanding of Infection Prevention Control and COSHH. You will have passion to learn on how to lead a team and have experience with staff management. You will ensure the day-to-day team tasks are also met. Some of your duties will be to carry out cleaning audits, pre-planned maintenance, rota planning,and other office-based work. What we offer is a robust training and induction programme. Having experience in a similar supervisor rolewould be essential and we offer ongoing supervision and further development opportunities.

The Facilities Supervisor roleis afull-timeMonday to Friday post. We would also welcome part-time applicants with a minimum of 25 hours. We can be flexible with start time and finish time as we promote a positive work to home life balance. Youwill need a full UKDriving Licence.

Full time hours: 7.30am to 3.30pm withone late shift afortnight to support and managetheevening teamandone day a month at the weekend.

Part time hours: 7:30 - 3:30pm weekday (reduced hours to meet 25 hours can be discussed further at interview stage).

Main duties of the job

To ensure that the grounds and gardens are maintained to a tidy and presentable standard.

A clear understanding of the hospital cleaning service and the standards required, regarding infection control.

Assist in the recruitment, induction, probationary period development and training of staff.

Ensuring that the correct work methods areobserved.

To ensure that all personal and staff training is carried out and complete.

This post is part of the Facilities & Estates, which Dorset Healthcare may transfer to an NHS wholly owned subsidiary within the next 6-12 months.   • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent experience in relevant area.
