Devon Partnership Trust is seeking a dedicated Facilities Supervisor to join the Estates and Facilities team based in Dawlish, supporting cleaning, catering, waste and pest control services. The Facilities Supervisor is a very valuable position which will increase the quality of service in Cleaning, Food Safety, Waste Management and Pest Control. It is a dynamic role with a driven purpose of excellence.
About You
We are looking for someone who:
You will play a key role in ensuring that our facilities services consistently meet NHS standards, statutory requirements, and Trust policies, supporting both patient care and staff wellbeing.
Monitor and improve standards of cleanliness and hygiene in line with NHS and CQC requirements.
Ensure food safety compliance, including monitoring HACCP procedures and maintaining accurate documentation.
Oversee waste segregation, storage, and disposal in accordance with environmental and health regulations.
Coordinate pest control measures and preventative maintenance programmes.
Conduct audits, inspections, and quality assurance checks.
Support recruitment, training, and performance management of facilities staff.
Investigate incidents, implement corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement.
Maintain strong communication with clinical teams and management to ensure seamless service delivery.
Ensure full compliance with Health and Safety legislation, including COSHH regulations and the completion, review, and implementation of risk assessments to maintain a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors.

The post holder will be responsible for the day to day supervision of Facilities Services and Facilities Assistants at Langdon and South Devon (Torbay) Hospitals. The post holder will be responsible for the coordination of facilities services on the allocated sites, providing support to the Facilities Team Leaders and ensuring a clean, safe, comfortable and welcoming environment.
The post holder will be responsible for ensuring that a high quality, customer focused and safe cleaning & food service is provided to the Trust and external customers.
