Job summary

Avon and Somerset Police are seeking a proactive and motivated individual to join the Site Facilities team, supporting the maintenance of our premises, grounds, vehicle fleet and equipment.

Three posts are available across Almondsbury (PT 30h), Wilfred Fuller (PT 30h) and Mobile (FT 37h). Driving to sites and coordinating deliveries, with requirement to hold a full UK driving licence and be over 21 years old.

Qualifications

• Hold a full current driving licence.
• Must be over 21 years of age to drive police vehicles.
• Previous experience in a similar environment.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with office moves including the removal and storage of furniture.
• Driving to and from force locations, occasionally driving outside of the force area
• Monitor and respond to verbal and IT based demand for services, operating and maintaining both electronic and manual record systems.

Avon and Somerset Police are seeking a proactive and motivated individual to become part of our Site Facilities team. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting our Facilities Officers to ensure the safe, efficient and effective maintenance of our premises, grounds, vehicle fleet, and equipment.

Your responsibilities will include assisting with day-to-day facilities operations, helping to maintain high standards across our sites, and coordinating the delivery and collection of goods and equipment between force locations and other destinations as required.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a dynamic environment, takes pride in attention to detail and values contributing to the smooth running of essential services.

Three posts are currently available:

• Almondsbury, part time 30 hours per week. The working pattern will be agreed within the hours of 08:00 to 16:00 Monday to Thursday, and 08:00 to 15:30 on Fridays.
• Wilfred Fuller, part time 30 hours per week - The working pattern will be agreed within the hours of 07:00 to 16:00, Monday to Thursday
• Mobile (based at Kenneth Steel House), full time 37 hours per week- Monday to Thursday 0800-1600 and Friday 0800-1530

Key Responsibilities

Qualifications & experience needed

• Hold a full current driving licence-Due to the requirement to drive all our police vehicles you must be over 21 years of age.
• Ability to act on own initiative with minimum supervision
• The post holder will have previous experience in a similar environment.

Additional Information
