Job summary

Avon and Somerset Police is seeking Detective Constables to transfer into our Investigations teams, handling proactive and reactive cases in complex and serious crime areas.

Officers must reside in the force area; relocation assistance up to £8,000 is available if relocating from outside the force area. We value diverse backgrounds and adherence to force values in all duties.

Qualifications

• You are transferring from a Home Office Police force
• Have successfully completed the full Initial Police Learning and Development Programme (IPLDP)
• Have successfully completed your probationary period and are working as an accredited detective

You are eligible to transfer if you:

• are transferring from a Home Office Police force
• have successfully completed the full Initial Police Learning and Development Programme (IPLDP) programme
• have successfully completed your probationary period and are working as an accredited detective

The salary you will be offered on appointment will be equivalent to your current salary.
