Job summary

Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. Newport site seeks a Facilities Site Services Engineer to deliver critical facilities management across the Newport manufacturing campus.

Reporting to the Facilities Projects and Site Services Manager, you will manage contractors, oversee permit-to-work, risk assessments and scopes of works, and control budgets. The role requires a time-served apprenticeship with craft qualifications, ideally an HNC/HND in mechanical or electrical engineering, and NEBOSH

Qualifications

• Time served apprenticeship with formal craft qualification.
• NEBOSH General Health and Safety Certificate.
• HNC/HND in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering preferred.
• Experience in a dynamic Manufacturing / Industrial environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage Sub-Contractors undertaking routine and emergency tasks.
• Create Permit to Work forms and validate Risk & Method Statements.
• Create Scope of Works for quotation/tender processes.
• Budget and expense management & reporting.
