Job summary

Amey is seeking a General Building Operative/Facilities Assistant for the National Highways Account in Newton-le-Willows. The role is site-based with 42 hours per week on a 4 days on/4 days off rota, including day and night shifts (£14.12/hour).

Qualifications

• Strong administrative skills with attention to detail.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
• Good understanding of Health & Safety and COSHH.

Responsibilities

• Admin tasks using Microsoft Office programs.
• Communicate with suppliers via email and telephone.
• Conduct daily site checks and log action findings.
• Prepare site paperwork for Engineers/Operatives for PMMs and reactive works.
• First line response to reactive events (fire alarms, power outages, maintenance).
• Ensure Health & Safety and COSHH compliance.
