Job summary

Intercity Technology is seeking an experienced facilities leader to own the estate, security and workplace at our Birmingham site and flagship HQ. You will drive health & safety compliance, manage budgets and contractor relationships, and shape the future of our secure technology campus.

You’ll oversee the Birmingham Data Centre, implement robust risk assessments and maintain permits, while building strong internal and external partnerships to keep our buildings running smoothly and safely.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH qualification or progress towards it is essential.
• Strong health and safety knowledge across commercial estates.
• Experience managing contractors and security services.
• Proven ability to lead facilities strategies and budgets.
• Ability to build relationships with internal teams and external partners.

Responsibilities

• Provide a comprehensive Facilities, Maintenance, Security and Health & Safety service across the Intercity and Wider estate.
• Ensure compliance and certification are maintained across all areas of maintenance, security and H&S legislation.
• Lead site strategy and forward development roadmap.
• Transform flagship HQ into a showcase for business, culture, technology and security.
• Manage Facilities and Security budgets, seeking value opportunities.
• Develop a security plan and rota to keep buildings running safely under demand.
• Oversee Birmingham Data Centre and company vehicle fleet.
• Manage contractors and in-house teams delivering maintenance, remediation and small works.
• Ensure contractors hold required permits/competencies and work to risk assessments and safe systems.
• Act as escalation point, including occasional out-of-hours call outs.
