Job summary

Bespak Limited is seeking an onsite Technical Support Engineer for the Holmes Chapel site (CW4 8BE). The role is permanent with a salary of £60,000 to £70,000 per annum and benefits including 25 days leave, discretionary bonus, and pension contributions.

Working pattern is 37.5 hours across Mon-Thu 8:30am-5:00pm and Fri 8:30am-3:45pm, with the role focusing on critical infrastructure and site improvements to GMP standards.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Min 5 years experience in facilities, building services, maintenance, or project engineering.
• Strong knowledge of UK HSE legislation, contractor management, and risk control.
• Experience delivering engineering or facilities projects.
• Excellent organisational, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficient in MS Office and engineering systems (e.g. CAD, CAFM, asset management tools).

Responsibilities

• Ensure safe, compliant, and efficient operation of site infrastructure, utilities, and building services.
• Champion health, safety, environmental, and GMP standards across all activities.
• Manage facilities projects from concept to completion — delivering on time and within budget.
• Lead contractor management, including permits, RAMS, and performance monitoring.
• Provide technical problem-solving support and drive continuous improvement.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Manufacturing, QA, HSE, and Procurement.
• Support sustainability and energy efficiency initiatives across the site.
