Job summary

Camden Town Hotel is seeking a dedicated Facilities Porter to support daily hotel operations. You will assist with linen, deliveries, stock, furniture, and general housekeeping while collaborating with Facilities, Maintenance and hotel teams.

The role involves routine checks, fault reporting and basic repairs, ensuring a clean, safe and welcoming environment for guests and colleagues. Prior experience in a hotel or facilities setting is helpful, and comprehensive training is provided.

Responsibilities

• Respond professionally to guest and colleague requests.

The Role

We are seeking a dedicated Facilities Porter at Camden Town Hotel.

Camden Town Hotel is seeking a reliable and practical Facilities Porter to support the smooth day-to-day operation of the hotel. You’ll assist with linen, deliveries, stock, furniture, and general housekeeping, while working closely with the Facilities, Maintenance, and wider hotel teams.

You’ll carry out routine checks, report faults and hazards, complete authorised basic repairs, and help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for guests and colleagues.

Your role will include, but not be limited to:

• Moving and distributing linen, stock, supplies, furniture, and equipment throughout the hotel.
• Supporting housekeeping and other departments with the delivery and collection of linen and operational items.
• Keeping storage areas, linen rooms, service areas, and staff spaces clean, tidy, and organised.
• Carrying out routine checks of public areas and reporting any damage, hazards, faults, or maintenance issues.
• Completing authorised basic repairs and general upkeep tasks, such as replacing light bulbs, carrying out minor repairs, and completing painting touch-ups.
• Assisting with the safe movement of furniture, deliveries, equipment, and other hotel items.
• Supporting the Facilities or Maintenance team and approved contractors when required.
• Responding positively and professionally to requests from guests and colleagues.
• Working safely and following all health and safety, fire safety, manual-handling, and security procedures.
• Reporting any accidents, incidents, hazards, or maintenance concerns promptly to the appropriate manager.
• Ensuring that all work is carried out within your training and level of authorisation.
