Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland is seeking a field-based facilities maintenance technician to carry out planned and reactive maintenance, perform callouts as scheduled, and monitor contractor work to ensure standards are met.

The role requires a current UK work right, a valid driving licence, and relevant plumbing/mechanical qualifications; experience in facilities management is preferred, and the ability to use electronic handheld devices is essential.

Qualifications

• Right to work in the UK.
• Valid driving licence is required.
• NVQ or City & Guilds in Plumbing/Mechanical Services.
• CSCS card or equivalent.
• Experience in Facilities Management.
• Ability to use electronic handheld devices.

Responsibilities

• Undertake PPM, proactive and reactive works issued through the helpdesk within set time frames so that the customer expectations are met.
• Provide a callout response for the client as detailed on the callout rota.
• Undertake contractor control duties on behalf of the client, including monitoring of contractors and their workmanship, so that relevant standards are met.
• Ensure equipment and surrounding area conform to agreed company standards.
• Evaluate performance and ensure the proper servicing and maintenance of equipment under contract to the company is carried out.
• Work in a safe manner at all times, complying with current Health & Safety legislation.
