Job summary

Gower College Swansea is seeking a part-time Facilities Operative to carry out general maintenance and security across campuses. The role covers evenings, weekends and shifts from 6:00am to 10:00pm, with on-call duties and additional remuneration.

You will hold or work towards NVQ Level 3, have COSHH and Health & Safety knowledge, and be able to travel between sites. This fixed-term 4-month contract starts soon and operates on a 20-hour week at Sketty Hall.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent is preferred.
• First Aid and IOSH qualifications preferred or in progress.
• COSHH and health & safety knowledge required.

Responsibilities

• Carry out general maintenance and temporary repairs.
• Support security of College premises, opening/closing & site checks.
• Respond to facilities issues across College sites.
• Provide cross-site cover with the Facilities team.
