Job summary

Aneurin Bevan University Health Board is recruiting for a domestic services post in the Facilities team at Royal Gwent Hospital. The role involves carrying out duties in line with job schedules and responding to priorities set by the supervisor.

Job description

A domestic services post in the Facilities team at Royal Gwent Hospital, part of Aneurin Bevan University Health Board. Tasks are set out in job schedules and reassigned by the supervisor to meet service priorities, with roster cover expected. The hours are evening-based, three to four shifts a week between 16:00 and 20:00 or 17:00 and 20:00, with Welsh desirable. Prior experience is not essential as full training is given, but the work includes manual handling and cleaning that may involve bodily fluids.

• Able to cope with moving deceased people and cleaning that may involve bodily fluids
• Able to maintain concentration on tasks

Nice to have

• BIFM or NVQ level 2
• Experience of working in a healthcare or hospitality environment
• Ability to speak Welsh
