Job summary

MI5 in Greater Manchester is seeking a Facilities Officer to keep a busy, secure site running smoothly, delivering goods-in, setting up conference spaces, distributing stationery, and supporting moves and porterage.

The role combines customer service, problem-solving and operational support in a security-conscious environment. You will drive vehicles, learn forklift/minibus operation, and be part of a team ensuring safe facilities for colleagues and visitors.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence held and willingness to undergo training for vehicle operation.
• Safety-conscious and reliable in a busy, secure site environment.
• Ability to build positive relationships and deliver high-quality service.
• Comfortable solving problems and working with colleagues across teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage Goods-In activities and deliveries.
• Set up conference spaces and distribute stationery and supplies.
• Support site moves and perform general porterage and facilities duties.
• Operate equipment and vehicles, including forklift and other site vehicles.
• Back up and assist with an accessible minibus as needed.
