Manchester City Council is seeking a Facilities Officer to lead development and maintenance of service delivery standards within the Growth and Development Directorate. The role requires driving compliance, health and safety, and effective use of information systems.
Successful candidates will manage resources and foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders while ensuring high-quality facilities services across council operations.
Working Hours: 2 x 35 Hours Per Week (The applicant must be flexible to the services demands)

Driving Licence – The successful candidate should hold a full clean driving licence as you will be required to drive a vehicle adhering to council regulations.
DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) clearance - this post is covered by the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (amended in 2013). Appointable candidates will be required to apply for an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Facilities Management is part of the Growth and Development Directorate and works across MCC providing a range of support services, compliance, and workplace solutions.
Responsibilities of a Facilities Officer include (but are not limited to):
Roles at this level will be required to undertake management of resources, including human and financial. Staff management may be through direct line management of a team (including appraisals, performance management and other duties) or through matrix management of a virtual team of officers
