Project Officer – Design & Delivery Team, Manchester Town Hall, Manchester City Council.
Working Hours & Contract
- Working Hours: 35 Hours Per Week
- Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent
- Additional Payments: Casual Car Allowance

Key Responsibilities
- Excellent contract administration and project management skills together with the ability to liaise effectively with contractors, residents and internal and external agencies.
- Proficiency in IT packages such as MS Word and Excel and ability to manage, update and share information daily through various software packages.
- Work in a multidisciplinary team and collaborate with all team members, demonstrating a personal commitment to continuous self-development and service improvement.
- Demonstrate a sound working knowledge of building construction, building regulations and planning applications; be qualified to HND, HNC or equivalent, or a degree in a building construction related subject with at least 2 years’ experience, and, if possible, pursue corporate membership of a recognised body such as the RICS, CIOB or equivalent.
- Ensure diversity is positively valued, resulting in equal access and treatment in employment, service delivery and communications.
- Hold a full valid driving licence; provide own car for work where necessary; provide appropriate documentation and receive allowance per mile of business use.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- ONC, HNC or BSc in building/construction management related subject or equivalent demonstrable related experience.
- At least 3 years of references where possible.
- Legal Right to Work in the UK – you must evidence your right to work before commencement of employment.
- Right to Full Disclosure of Right to Work, not eligible for sponsorship under Skilled Worker route (candidate must have own rights).
- Knowledge and experience of building construction, building regulations and planning applications.
