Job summary

Venturi Healthcare is seeking a skilled Facilities Manager to oversee safe, efficient management of buildings and technical services within a health and social care environment. A hybrid model is offered, with weekly on-site presence and a clean driving licence essential.

You will lead maintenance, health and safety, and contractor management, aiming to optimise processes, control costs and deliver measurable results. IOSH is essential and NEBOSH desirable.

Qualifications

• IOSH is essential; NEBOSH desirable.
• Strong background in technical services and facilities management, ideally within health or social care settings.
• 3+ years in a maintenance/facilities management role.
• Trade background in electrical or plumbing disciplines advantageous but not essential.
• Excellent knowledge of building compliance, health & safety, and statutory requirements.
• Proactive, problem-solving approach with ability to lead by example.
• Strong communication skills with staff, contractors and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage facilities operations, including planned and reactive maintenance, health & safety compliance, and contractor management.
• Manage major refurb projects across all sites while maintaining budgetary controls.
• Ensure statutory and regulatory requirements are met in line with CQC standards.
• Deliver cost-effective facilities solutions while maintaining excellence in service.
• Manage and support the maintenance team, fostering openness, learning and accountability.
• Act as the competent person for health & safety supporting decision making.
• Collaborate with colleagues to support Venturi Healthcare's purpose and vision.
• Maintain facilities management dashboards for real-time performance monitoring.

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Facilities Manager to join our team and oversee the safe, efficient, and effective management of our buildings and technical services within a health and social care environment. You will play a vital role in ensuring that our residents, families, and staff enjoy a safe, welcoming, and well‑maintained environment. This role combines strategic maintenance management with hands‑on technical services to optimise processes, control costs and deliver measurable results. Whilst we offer a hybrid working model, an on‑site presence is required at all Venturi sites on a weekly basis, as such a full clean driving licence is essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage facilities operations, including planned and reactive maintenance, health & safety compliance, and contractor management.

About You

• Strong communication skills, with the ability to build trust and openness with staff, contractors, and stakeholders.
• Clean enhanced DBS is a requirement for the role.
• Experience of contract management and procurement.
