Responsibilities

  • Prepare work schedules for planned and reactive maintenance and ensure work is carried out to standard and within budgets (CMMS).
  • Oversee site security arrangements, on-call rotas and emergency procedures with the Hub Site Manager and Operations Manager.
  • Ensure the site is clean and tidy at all times.
  • Supervise a small in-house team and manage external contractors on maintenance works.
  • Project manage works contracts unless MAT led.
  • Guide site team on health/safety and statutory compliance needs.
  • Support recruitment and induction of staff as agreed with the School.
  • Contribute to performance management of site staff.
  • Provide support for emergencies at the school.
  • Ensure contractors are inducted and supervised; review contractor performance and quality.
  • Maintain water hygiene, fire safety and electrical safety records for site equipment.
  • Follow Trust Head of Estates instructions on training, compliance and H&S matters.
  • Maximise energy efficiency through strategy implementation.

In this dynamic role, you will balance hands-on leadership with daily operational oversight to create a well managed, safe and welcoming environment for our staff, students, and visitors.
