POSITION SNAPSHOT

Job Title: Facilities Manager

Location: Manchester

Contract Type: Permanent

The Role

Responsible for ensuring that the Facilities Team deliver an efficient service to the Head Office team in our amazing Manchester Head Office.

The successful applicant is expected to be onsite 5 days a week.

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for compiling the annual Opex and Capex budgets
• Manage the day-to-day interaction with the various FM contracts. To include Catering, Outsourced FM and M&E contract.
• Ensuring best price and sustainability credentials. Oversee the smaller contracts such as couriers, franking machine, sundry supplies (for packaging) Taxi’s and Stationery.
• Liaise with Indirect Procurement for support in negotiation or full RFP when required.
• Schedule & attend the quarterly Offices Health and Safety meetings, closing out any facilities related actions which arise for the Aviator Way location. For all other H&S matters, liaise with H&S Manager for guidance as required.
• Provide planning and management service for on-site events – Annual General Meeting, Brand launches, quarterly business reviews, annual Christmas lunch
• Along with the wider team, carry out the set-up of furniture & equipment for meetings and auditorium events
• Along with the Warehouse Assistant off-load any heavy deliveries and any other heavier manual handling tasks that arise.
• Along with the wider team, provide packaging facility for product launches / sample send outs ensuring items are sent safely, comply with legislation and arrive in the condition they left.
• Management of off-site archive facility with Restore, supporting internal departments as required.
• Constantly review processes and practices within the department to maintain efficiency and remain up to date with best practice, with focus on environmental impact and continuous improvement.
