About the Role

We are seeking a highly organised and experienced Facilities Manager to join our team.

In this role, you will ensure the delivery of high-standards services and an exceptional customer experience for the Client.

Main Responsibilities will include:

  • Acting as a single point of contact (SPOC) / interface for the for the Exec Team and senior stakeholders.
  • Supporting building users’ operational needs and coordinating activities to enable these objectives as appropriate.
  • Supporting site leadership and cross-functional operational needs and coordinating activities to enable these objectives as appropriate.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships across the estate.
  • Ensuring alignment, connectivity, and engagement with services in the delivery chain and other service functions, identifying, developing, and optimising solutions that best align with the client’s needs.
  • Driving consistency in standards.
  • Ensuring consistency of approach and compliance with legislative and regulatory requirements.
  • Providing oversight, direction, and targets for all supply chain participants.
  • Supporting the delivery of onsite engagement activities.
  • Escalating user requirements/demands that cannot be fulfilled due to service scope and availability constraints.
  • Line management of the Guest Experience Coordinators and the AFM.
  • Overseeing routine maintenance, repairs, and improvements to ensure facilities function efficiently and safely.
  • Developing and managing budgets for facility-related expenses, including maintenance, repairs, and services.
  • Overseeing and negotiating contracts with external service providers for various needs (i.e. cleaning, security, and maintenance, print/post, catering).
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, conducting inspections, and implementing safety measures.
  • Overseeing space planning, renovations, and relocations within the facility.
  • Supervising facility staff, including maintenance, security, and cleaning personnel.
  • Maintaining communication with tenants, occupants, and stakeholders regarding facility-related matters.
  • Developing and implementing long-term strategies for facility management and improvements.
  • Responding to emergencies and other urgent issues involving the facility.

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Proven track record in a managerial role in operational facilities management.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines and provide high-quality work.
  • Ability to effectively question methods and strategies to ensure effectiveness of activities conducted.
  • Highly experienced manager with proven ability to inspire and motivate the workforce to deliver world-class customer service.
  • High level of practical knowledge of relevant employment, hygiene, Health and Safety and general legislative requirements.
  • IOSH or NEBOSH Preferred.
